My husband and I dined this evening , such a cosy warm atmosphere. The interior matched the vibe and essence of the restaurant. The food was delicious,authentic Indian cuisine full of flavour and spice. Such a good variety of dishes ,the menu was easy to read . The dishes were presented very well. Hats off to the chef ! I wanted to add the staff were so polite and hospitable. Genuinely cared and worked as team so well to serve their dinner's. I highly recommend this restaurant. Amazing ,I cannot wait to come back . Great addition to Teddington.

Okay... Is it a hidden Gem in Teddington? HELL YES. New Lunch Menu...That Paneer Tikka Wrap and it's chutney is crazy. Amazing Dishes reasonable pricing and Cocktails and Mocktails are to die for so will be coming at Happy Hour one day.

First time visiting, really excellent food, and lovely warm and friendly top notch service from Harpreet. We had the butter chicken and poppadoms, and Saag aloo and paneer tikka shashlik and everything was excellent - very generous portions too. Will definitely be coming back! 😁

Extensive menu, the food was great quality and lots of lovely veg options! Super quick service however we felt rushed onto each course and then out of the restaurant, I know the staff were trying to be attentive and keen to close but we didn’t feel a liberty to relax as we were regularly interrupted

Walking into Takaa Tak I was met with the most delicious smell! I chose this restaurant because they have a range of vegan dishes which have clear labels. Unfortunately, the breads and rice aren't don't have the same labels. Some of the rice said it was cooked in ghee but not all. I asked for mushroom rice because it didn't include ghee in the description but my server said if I wanted vegan-friendly rice I needed to choose plain steamed basmati rice. I was disappointed I couldn't choose anything more flavourful. I ordered an okra curry and a half portion of saag aloo which were both very tasty.

Excellent experience all round. Food was exceptional and Interesting. Good range of drinks including non alcoholic Kingfisher beer. And little touches of service and attention to detail that really lifted the occasion. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at in a while. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table and handed us the menus, throughout the evening they kept coming back checking on us to make sure everything was ok. They were keen and more than happy to explain what was in the food and drinks to make sure it was to our liking. On to the food now, we ordered starters first, Amritsari fish, chicken 65, and a few more items, these two were missing a bit of flavours, perhaps a bit of chilli would do, never the less, they were packed with flavours. For mains we had the biryani, if ever you visit, please make sure you get the chicken biryani, it’s packed full of flavours, soft and succulent chicken, absolutely amazing. Hands down one the the best biryani’s I’ve ever had.

We’ve been to many Indian restaurants over the years, but nothing compares to this place – it’s hands down the best Indian restaurant we’ve ever been to. The food is consistently incredible; we’ve tried a wide range of dishes, and every single one has been full of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff are attentive, welcoming, and always go above and beyond to make each visit special. Altmash has been fantastic every time – friendly, professional, and always makes us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Harpreet, who never fails to go the extra mile. No matter how often we come, he always brings a personal touch to our experience. Today was no exception – he surprised us with a lovely anniversary sentiment and an extra dessert, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our evening even more memorable. We love this place so much that we’ve even chosen it for our wedding reception in a couple of months – that’s how confident we are in their food, service, and overall experience. Thank you to the entire team for always making every visit so special. We can’t wait to celebrate our big day with you soon!
